The Beautiful Culture

Tokyo's culture is the main reason many people are drawn to the city. It's a place where respect, creativity, and tradition are woven into everyday life. There is a certain level of etiquette that can be noticed when visiting. Their customs reflect the respect they have for one another and create a sense of harmony in a busy environment. There are also festivals throughout the year where ancient traditions meet modern life. One festival is Hanami, or cherry blossom viewing. This occurs every spring where locals and tourists gather in parks to enjoy the beauty of the sakura trees in full bloom. It's a time to celebrate the beauty of spring coming with laughter and picnics.

Tokyo is also a global trendsetter when it comes to fashion and pop culture. In neighborhoods like Harajuku you'll find bold, colorful street styles that mix vontage, kawaii (cute) , and punk aesthetics. Clothing is seen as a form of art and is how many choose to express themselves.

Tokyo is also the heart of anime and mange culture. There are themed cafe's for some of the popular anime's as well as stores and entire districts like Akihabara dedicated to the fandom. There are even animation studios, such as Studio Ghibli, that have museums so that you can see how the magic is brought to life. Their contribution to pop culture has reached global status, especially with conventions, like comic-con, meant to bring those who love anime together. Everyone gets the chance to to dress like their favorite characters and meet some of the creators of their favorite anime's and collect exclusive mechandise. Below I attached a piece of the intro to one of my favorite animes called Dan da Dan, I hope you enjoy.
